Moderators

1. Moderators have the final say in interpreting and enforcing these rules.
2. Contact a Moderator via  forum-moderator@bukovinasociety.org.

Post Topics

1. Posts in the Bukovina Forum must be questions or remarks about the History, Genealogy, Language, Research or People of or from Bukovina.
2. “Off-Topic” Posts will be deleted.
3. Users who constantly post “Off-Topic” Posts will be banned.

Posting requests

1. Create one thread and only one thread for each subject you need help with.
2. Do not re-use existing threads started by others, even if they appear to be on the same subject. Ask a new question instead. This will make it easier for others to see your questions and to find them later.

Images and other media

1. You can add images, such as a “screenshot” of your computer screen or a file.
2. Images or other media should be related to the post. For instance, you might want to post a picture of a genealogical record you want help translating, or a picture of a church in Czernowitz.
3. Inappropriate media will be removed. Inappropriate media might be pictures of your (still living) family, or current newspaper articles about current politics.
4. If you’re unsure if something is appropriate, ask one of the moderators to be sure.

Language and conduct

1. Be friendly, respectful, and helpful to everyone.
2. Please do not use obscene, lewd, lascivious, filthy, or excessively violent language.
3. Do not harass, insult, taunt, provoke, demean, or personally attack other forum members. This type of behavior will lead to the disrespectful member being banned.
4. It is your responsibility to report any off-forum harassment to the moderators.  We can’t solve problems we don’t know about.
